Safeguarding
At Knights Enham Schools we provide…
Inclusive and ambitious learning experiences where our school community feels safe and motivated to achieve their best.
'Together We Achieve'

Knights Enham School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.
At Knights Enham Schools we actively seek to prevent safeguarding issues and are vigilant in our pursuit of keeping our children safe and happy. This underpins our Rights, Respecting ethos. We work with various organisations such as NSPCC, Stop Campaign, Anti-Bullying Alliance as well as local, professional bodies.
Our staff have regular training on identifying and reporting a safeguarding concern and they understand their responsibilities in keeping our children safe
Sometimes we may need to share information and work in partnership with other agencies when there are concerns about a child’s welfare. We will ensure that our concerns about our children are discussed with parents/carers first unless we have reason to believe that such a move would be contrary to the child’s welfare.
Parents and carers also play an important role in safeguarding children in the community. If you are concerned about a child’s welfare/well- being, please contact our Designated Safeguarding Lead, Mrs Emma Stott, or any member of the safeguarding team.
If you think a child or young person may be in immediate danger, call 999. Otherwise contact Hampshire Children’s Services on 0300 555 1384
We have policies and procedures in place to provide guidance and support in our safeguarding actions. Please see the links below.

E-Safety
We regularly reinforce the importance of e-safety throughout the school day, both in and out of classrooms. We regularly hold awareness sessions for parents. Please see our E-Safety Policy for more information.
Prevent Training
All senior leaders have been trained in 'Prevent', all staff have been made aware of this strategy and it's importance in combating extremism. This forms part of our Safeguarding procedures. Please see our Prevent Policy for more information.
In our school we adhere to the United Nations Charter for Rights of a Child (UNCRC) and believe that all children have the right to be safe.

Safeguarding Curriculum
Pupil safeguarding and the promotion of fundamental British values are within our school values and are a core to our school vision.
Great importance is placed on identifying opportunities that can be taught within the curriculum for children to learn about safeguarding. Please go to our curriculum area for more information.
