The Pupil Premium champion and Pupil Premium governor have to collaborate closely to forensically interpret pupil data, analyse interventions that have worked and their “active ingredients” and examine the results of Pupil Premium spending.

  • Our Pupil Premium Champion is Steve McBride
  • Our Pupil Premium Governor is Jasper Falk

The Pupil Premium was introduced in April 2011 and is a funding allocated to schools to work with pupils who have been registered for free school meals at any point in the last six years or for children who have been looked after continuously for more than six months. Funding is also provided for children of service personnel and children adopted from care, or who left care under a Special Guardianship Order / Residence Order.  It is to be used to raise the attainment of disadvantaged pupils and close the gap between them and their peers.

Please click on the report attachment below for more information about our Pupil Premium Grant and how we allocate the funding.

For the academic year 2020 - 2021, the Covid-19 situation has meant that we are unable to review the impact of our Pupil Premium funding.

The date for the next review of the school's pupil premium strategy will be September 2024.

Free school meals at Knights Enham Junior School

At Knights Enham, we are able to offer all pupils a freshly cooked lunch. (There is a charge for pupils in Key Stage 2 who are not eligible for free school meals). It is very important that pupils are registered as eligible for free school meals as this will ensure your child and the school will receive additional educational funding. If you would like further information or advice, please speak to the office staff or Mr Whitehouse in confidence.
